cousin matt came down with his two friends for the weekend so eric and i showed him around the city. this guy was playing the greatest music near a church in old city. i didn't want to leave.

also in old city, this blind woman was playing this instrument. its a pole with glass bowls all in different diameters that she pumps with her foot to turn. then she dips her fingertips in water and touches the rim of the bowls to make a ringing sound. she played all different kinds of songs. loved it

it rained all day today so mom, eric and i did this cat puzzle from breakfast until after dinner. we didn't finish. the fur parts were impossible

ryan and i went for a walk in the morning to get some breakfast. this was a cool door that caught my eye on the way

ryan got this really gross thing for breakfast - eggs, bacon, cheese and sausage WRAPPED in a pancake with syrup and butter...!

i got cinnamon raisin french toast. delicious!

i took the train to NYC today and met up with eric's family. here is a bee hive i found at the train station early this morning

 

all of us went to caffe reggio for some coffee

i was in heaven when i found out they had affogato and pretty much died after the first bite and discovered how well they made it

we went to dinner at crispo and i had this delicious, spicy shrimp dish

instead of heading home with everyone, i decided to meet up with my brother in jersey city for the night. i slept there with keesa keeping me company

eric got this rug for free from a movie set on our street. they've been filming all week and got rid of all the props at the end. it was one big free-for-all

lauren and i wen to home depot today to get some supplies for her back garden

we repotted plants and made some shelves out of wood and cement blocks

we also freshened up this hanging box with some green plants. the whole space looks really nice
